The Moonrise HOtel is very well located in a quiet and leafy area, and we found driving and navigating the city very convenient. I would highly recommend the Moonrise hotel!! MAREE CAIN AUSTRALIA
Very crowded elevators during the weekend because of the terrace bar. Small shower area - the curtain rod should be curved.
The staff were so wonderful! Every single person talked to us as they passed in the hallway. They were efficient, professional and helpful. the facility is also wonderful, with an art deco, romantic theme. I was there with friends, so romance didn't apply, but we thought it was charming. The lighting and fixtures, as well as the marquee were the most unique I can remember of all the hotels I have visited. High marks for this wonderful hotel.
The rooftop bar was great. All the moon themed memorabilia was neat too.
The sleeping pillows were so thick I woke up with a terrible neck ache and head ache. I felt bruised to the touch. I'll be sure to bring my own pillows next time.
unique style, comprehensive, coherent decorations. Everything was as one would expect in a high class hotel.
Not much going on in the loop on a monday night.
the beds were very cozy.
the bathrooms had no fans, and the shower door did not open enough. made it hard to get in and out of the shower. Also the hotel is very close to a theater that was host to a techno band one night and a hard rock band one night this was very loud and made sleeping difficult because the shows lasted until 130 am.
The whole package was amazing. The lobby was very inviting and so well designed that I wanted to spend lots of time just hanging out in there. The room was very comfortable and has a unique design. The raining shower head was awesome! The restaurant they have there (called Eclipse) is excellent. It really was a highlight of our trip. One of the best things about this hotel is that it is practically right next door to The Pageant club. We travelled to St. Louis to see a concert and the fact that such an amazing hotel was only steps away from the big show made us feel like rockstars!
They seemed a tad un-organized. Like if you asked for extra soap or something they had to scramble to find some.
The Moonrise Hotel was unexpectedly well appointed and pleasant -- a great value for the cost of accommodations. Our room was spacious, well-serviced and lovely. We particularly liked the design and character of the hotel -- a kind of neo-50's aesthetic that we consistent throughout the hotel but not campy at all. The staff was superior and the location on Delmar was perfect. On-site parking was a breeze. I will book again in the future and recommend to others.
Very funky decor and the rooftop lounge is worth the stay!
the staff was super friendly & very helpful w/everything. the moonrise is a gorgeous & fun hotel. the room was beautiful & clean....LOVED the glass coffee mugs & real glasses. the lobby is great....pop music playing & the lite up staircase is amazing. we also felt really safe w/the need for a keycard to get in after hours (even to the lobby) & for the elevators at all times. great time & we will definitely be back!!
The decor was amazing, room awesome.
Rainshower style shower. I find them more pretty than functional. The window looked out on Delmar, decreasing privacy.
I like the eclectic atmosphere...reminds me of South Beach in Miami. I love the Rooftop Terrace which, unfortunately, was not open during our recent stay. I like to walk the area and read the stars and the restaurants are good.
Rooftop Terrace not open...it was plenty warm. Get some heaters and blankets (like we do in Seattle...:) and keep it open!
The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming; this was my first time in St. Louis since I was a child, and they had wonderful recommendations about places to eat and things to do during the day.
I absolutely loved my experience; I would stay at the Moonrise again in a heartbeat if I ever find myself needing to be back in St. Louis.
Loved the design style and space memorabilia.
Parking to much valet parking.
